Welcome to Mill Valley, quite possibly Marin’s most famous city. The public schools are some of the best and include Tam HighMill Valley MiddleEdna MaguireOld MillStrawberry PointPark, and Tam Valley Elementary. If you prefer private schools, you can choose between Marin Horizon or Greenwood. This ideal community includes a town square, numerous restaurants, boutiques, a movie theatre, a famous music hall, and multiple linked steps and trails.

This community has a variety of upscale shops. Make sure to check out The Depot Bookstore, housed in a train depot that started running trains back in 1889, and Mill Valley Market, which has been around since 1929 and is still family owned. Mill Valley has been able to maintain its small-town vibe while offering big-time services, including two Whole Foods Markets, a fantastic public librarycommunity center, access to Mt. Tamalpais, hiking, biking, and multiple beaches.
 
Start your day with breakfast or lunch at The Depot and a latte from Equator Coffee. For dinner, you have a plethora of options. You can enjoy a casual experience at El Paseo's, savor Mexican cuisine at Playa, or try the famous kickin’ fried chicken at Bungalow 44. For beer lovers, Mill Valley Beerworks is a must-visit. Some other local favorites include Buckeye Roadhouse, known for its American contemporary cuisine, and Piazza D'angelo Restaurant, a cozy spot offering Italian fare. Hook Fish Co. and Pizza Antica are also worth a visit for their casual dining experiences.
